Peter Woodley

A solicitor with significant experience of criminal defence work, Peter became a partner at St James Solicitors in 2012.

Peter is renown in the local area for his commitment to his clients and the sheer hard work that he brings to every case he deals with – large or small.

He is an experienced duty solicitor and has a wealth of experience in the Magistrates and youth courts as well as the police station. His easy manner means that he is consistently praised by clients for the support he provides during what can be the worst time of their lives.

Peter deals with a large caseload of serious and complex Crown Court matters and has recent experience in handling rape, murder, fraud and terrorism offences. He does so with a calm and efficient ease. By priding himself on working collaboratively with other professionals, Peter regularly heads a team of lawyers including the trial advocate and assistant paralegals who will work together to prepare the case for trial or otherwise negotiate the best outcome for his clients.
